Is a lawyer a hero because s/he wins a case, or is a lawyer
supposed to perform his/her job simply to the best of his/her abilities?
Compare and contrast to Kill a Mockingbird v. Just Mercy & answer ultimately the question posed above.
Make sure in your answer to address the following:
-Are the lawyers in these movies doing their jobs well or poorly? Why?
-Do the characters reflect well on the legal system as a whole?
-Should any one person/entity working within the legal system (lawyer, judge, jury) have
enough power rob a defendant or a victim of justice? How? Can we correct it so that justice
is served whether you get a “good” judge, jury or lawyer?
