Compare and contrast Hobbes’ notion of the ideal state to Rousseau’s notion of the ideal state. This analysis
should include a discussion of each philosopher’s view of the state of nature, the social contract, and the
appropriate relationship between the monarch and his subjects (in the case of Hobbes) and the government
