Explain and contrast how our modern conceptions of human behavior (a.k.a.
models), represent, or perceive, the past and future (Note: you may draw these
relationships if it helps, but clearly label your work). Using Figure 4 as your reference
point, describe the implications of these two models of human behavior (i.e. TYPE I and
TYPE III) within the context of our consideration of climate change. What are the
implications of adopting only one of these fictions with respect to our response to climate
change? Is there a middle way between the two?
