2. How does the play (based on details) define “Heroes” and “Saints?” We can define a hero as: a real or mythical person of great bravery who carries out extraordinary deeds. And a saint is a person to whom a religious group has officially attributed the title of saint, or godly. What’s the difference between a hero and a saint, according to the play? Read carefully to understand what Moraga is suggesting about the role of heroes and saints in the community. Who is an example of each and why? Consider which one of the main characters was most interesting to you and where you think they fall in defining a hero and/or a saint and why. Some of the main characters are: Dolores, Mario, Father Juan, or Cerezita, Yolanda. Consider who takes action in helping their community the most and how.
