The outline should include a thesis statement, the research question(s)/issues being answered/addressed, how much space will be allotted for each section of the paper, a preliminary reference list, and follow current APA outline formatting.
What to consider in the outline:
What is the topic?
Why is it significant?
What background material is relevant?
What is my thesis or purpose statement?
What organizational plan will best support my purpose?
How much space is estimated per section?
