Classic” children’s stories

Find and read at least three “classic” children’s stories that include death (ex. “The Three Little Pigs”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “Little Red Riding Hood”, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi”, etc.). Research the original story to see how it compares to how the story is told today.
In your initial post, specifically discuss the following:
1. Discuss your reaction to the amount of death portrayed in these classic stories.
2. Is the discussion of death in the original writing beneficial for children to understand death? Why or why not?
In what ways is the current version of the story different from the original in terms of the inclusion and explanation of death? Do you believe the current version is more, or less, beneficial for children to understand death?
