Individual Report: You will select a company (WeWork) from any source for an in-depth
study on ONE corporate strategy-related topic covered and discussed in the class. This report
focuses on strategic actions taken by the company you choose to address the topic under your
investigation. Example topics (but not limited to) within your chosen company:
• Diversification strategy (why and how)
• M&A strategy (overall M&A strategy, followed by a specific M&A for illustration and
analysis)
• Strategic alliance (overall use of alliances, then choose a specific alliance for detailed
analysis)
• Corporate restructuring (restructuring overview, then a focused restructuring
initiative for why and how)
• Digital strategy (e.g., how to build digital-enabled competitive advantage, unique
practices to harness digital-enabled opportunities, or digitization-based business
model)
• Global strategy (e.g., overview of the firm’s internationalization, then choose a focused
