This 2nd stage is where you begin to flesh out your ideas. Using the feedback given after Stage 1, you will now develop your research, digging deeper into your chosen topic. This will involve further gathering of materials and early stages of organising them, with your large, final essay in mind.
You will submit your amended abstract, a brief outline of your final essay, and an annotated bibliography, featuring a minimum of 8 sources.
The Specifics:
Ensure that your name, student number, course number, and word count (abstract with 400-500 words) all appear on the first page.
Ensure your citations (foot/end notes and bibliography) are consistent. There is a link to this on BrightSpace.
This assignment assesses your ability to follow instructions, conduct research, incorporate my direction and feedback, as well as independently develop your personal, scholarly investigation. I will be looking for at least 8 different sources. Journals accessed via the internet are fair game but, on the whole, avoid online ‘sources.’
