Electric vehicle uptake in Australia is currently lower than other developed countries but the number of EVs is expected to grow as cheaper models arrive and more charging infrastructure is rolled out. The potential benefits of EVs include: 1. Reduced fuel costs 2. Lower maintenance costs 3. Enhanced energy security 4. Reduced air pollution (with associated health benefits) 5. An improved driving experience 6. Greenhouse gas emissions can be eliminated if EVs are charged using renewable energy.
Task
Your task is to investigate the EV industry or renewable energy industries in Australia by;
• focusing on the factors that influence major consumer and financial decisions and the short- and long-term consequences of these decisions,
• analysing the ways businesses respond to changing economic conditions and improve productivity through organisational management and workforce management.
The findings of your investigation will be presented in the form of a report that will include a case study of one EV manufacturing business or renewable energy business that is currently in, or is planning to enter, the Australian market.
