Visual and acousmatic sound

It’s much better now just one thing, can you take more particular scenes and mention if their visual and acousmatic sound and why are they visual and acousmatic sound. The zooming sound of the headset again brings in the eerie feel, which can be referred to as the visualized ones as can be seen in figure 4 something like you did here. Rest all good. But please do a lot more inferences like this as that is the main purpose.

You have just highlighted what was already there. I need you to mention why the following sound has been used and what effects is the following creating and why has that been used.

There is a lot of explaining of the scene which I clearly mentioned is not required and there is not a detailed explanation of why visual and acousmatic sound are used and what effect that is creating which is clearly a guideline. There is not a lot of connection of visual and acousmatic sound to the scene and there is a lot of mention of realistic sound which like I mentioned before is not needed.

There is not much connection with the concepts of sound and there is a lot of explanation of the scene rather than connecting it with the type of sound concept used. Bullet points are also not answered much and there is no in depth analysis or clear explanation of which sound is used. Also, realistic sound is not a part of the concept.

Here is the example of the depth of analysis needed

So first thing – Please include time index numbers so I can find the scene in the film or TV show you chose. For example: “Personal Shopper 29mins 40sec – 32mins 9sec.” If you choose to use an episode of a TV show, make sure to include the season and episode number.
Second thing – Instead of detailed general description, more needs to be mentioned about Acousmatic vs. visualized sound: the acousmatic -> visualized and the visualized -> acousmatic.
Third thing – Propose a theory about why the scene is using your chosen aspect in a particularly way. What meaning is conveyed by the use of offscreen space through sound, for example?
defining your concept, describing how it is used in the scene, and theorize why it is being used in a particular way – more needs to be mentioned about this
Overall, it is very good, but more analysis about the scene and sound needs to be done rather than generic information and the bullet points need to be answered in detail.

For this Exercise, you will analyze the use of sound in a scene from a film or TV show.

Read the chapter from Michel Chion’s book Audio-Vision listed for this week. – attached in the files
From the chapter, choose one of the following concepts of sound that Chion defines to analyze your scene:
Acousmatic vs. visualized sound: the acousmatic -> visualized and the visualized -> acousmatic.
Onscreen, offscreen, and nondiegetic sound: rules and exceptions
“pit” music -> screen music and screen music -> “pit” music
Objective-internal vs. subjective-internal
Active vs. passive offscreen sound
Point of audition: spatial vs. subjective
Choose a relatively short scene, 3-4mins in length.
Read the chapter and define the concept, and then catalog its use in the scene.
Propose a theory about why the scene is using your chosen aspect in a particularly way. What meaning is conveyed by the use of offscreen space through sound, for example?
