As we saw in this week’s module overview and resources, effective decision making is key to the success of an organization. Unfortunately, making good decisions is much easier said than done, especially in a competitive environment. Spend a moment thinking about the scene from Moneyball you watched this week. Reflect on why the individuals in the meeting have such a hard time making a decision about how to solve the problem they face. To address this week’s topic of decision making in sport organizations, choose a common problem or issue that sport organizations have faced. It can be a problem you are aware of from a team that you are a fan of, something you heard about in the news, or something you read about in this course. Just make sure it is a fairly common issue that at least two sport organizations have faced. From there, compose a short paper that addresses the following critical elements:
· Identify at least two organizations that have dealt with the problem or issue you selected.
· Explain the nature of the issue and describe the decision-making style used by each organization.
· Evaluate the approach of each organization.
· Explain which organization had the best results and why.
