The Value of Information Literacy Skills

• Explain the value of information literacy skills in academic, personal, and professional areas of your life. Be sure to compose one to two sentences for each of the areas.
• State the topic you explored in Credo. Choose a topic in Credo and share it here with your instructor. You can choose from the topics on the front page of Credo, or you can search for another topic found within Credo. (I chose Addison’s Disease)
• List three research questions you have about your topic. Each question should be open-ended so that it cannot be answered with a yes, no, or an opinion.
• Reflect on the process of creating the research questions, including
o What were your considerations when you developed the research questions?
o Who was your audience?
o How did you gather background information about your topic?
o How did you narrow your topic and create research questions?
 List at least three keywords or phrases that you might use when searching the library for information.
 Explain how your keywords might impact the sources you find to answer your questions.
