A hypothesis explaining the phenomenon

  Describe an event "scientifically". Observe an everyday phenomenon (such as your car not starting), and propose a hypothesis explaining the phenomenon (i.e., the car did not start because the battery is dead). Then conduct some sort of experiment to test your hypothesis (i.e., replace the battery).
