  Select a product or service (1) with which you are reasonably familiar (on the basis of your work experience, research, or other interests) and (2) that could conceivably be purchased by a local or national. Put yourself in the role of someone representing the company that makes the product or provides the service. Write an informal sales proposal in which you propose purchase of the product or service by a representative of the company.
