Description

The question is: At the beginning of Book 8 of the Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle claims that “without friends, no one would choose to live, even if he had all other goods” (115a5-6. Translation slightly altered). Why does Aristotle choose to say this? Do you agree with him? Why/Why not?
