Article analysis

For this activity, I want you to look at two papers and compare how they make use of their sources. One was written for The Atlantic, which is a magazine with a general readership. You can purchase The Atlantic at most news stand or at the airport. The other is an academic article written by the same authors about the same topic.
Compare how citations and outside sources are used. Then write a short response that focuses on the ways the authors adjust how they cite their sources in each text. Do sources show up more in one publication or the other? Why do you think this is? Is there a difference in the Audience, Context, or Purpose of their writing that makes them adjust their approach? Try to be as specific as possible when making your response. You response does not need to exceed 300 words.
