Please help me write an artist statement, especially for one piece of installation art I made in my college′s library: ″Bookworm″/″Rebellion in the Library″. I changed the positions of the books on 1 side of a bookshelf and made it goes in and out to create a kind of 3D ″feeling″. These are all usually reference books. People don′t use them much. Therefore, I want to make them become more interesting for the students by using it to create installation art. This is also an ″organic″ materials in some way because paper from books are made from trees. You can also argue that this installation art indicates subtle rebellions, evokes something (creativity, etc) in students and in me also.
