Your blog posts should respond to 2 of the 4 prompts below. Your blog post should include references. The writing style can be friendly but should still be quite formal (so avoid slang, contractions or being too ‘conversational’).
Any reading can be selected from weeks 1 and 4(the reading material i will upload!). You need to correctly reference the reading, using both in text references and including a full reference list at the end of the blog. References are not included in the word count for this short blog assignment. Separate readings should be chosen for each response (i.e. you should not respond to the same reading twice)
1.Formulate an insightful question or two about the reading and write a reflective response to your own questions. You will need to summarise and paraphrase the reading before writing a response and include references to back up your ideas (See resource below: reflective writing)
2.Find an academic source (not on the reading list) that engages with, responds to or complicates the reading. Summarise each source and compare and contrast the ideas. (See resource: comparing and contrasting the literature)
3.If the reading is dense or difficult: find the passages that encompass the central idea, and write a summary using techniques (paraphrasing and summarising). Write a brief response at the end. This can be reflective (your own ideas) or comparative (based on other research) (See resource: paraphrasing and summarising)
4.Find an example (in news media, social media or beyond) that questions, troubles or simply reflects an argument made in one of the readings. Summarise the reading, and explain how you think your example and the argument relate.
