1- Identify a recent example of CEO turnover (within the past 5 years)- List the firm, the former CEO, and the replacement CEO- Why is the former CEO no longer CEO? 2- Did the firm hire a new CEO from the internal labor market (insider) or the external labor market (outsider)? Describe the rationale behind this decision and whether you feel it was appropriate- 3- Describe the level of diversity (heterogeneity) on the top management team 4- What actions is the new CEO taking as a strategic leader for the firm? Describe which aspects of the balanced scorecard would best measure progress toward these goals/initiatives- 5- Based on what you know, do you feel like this person is an effective strategic leader? Why or why not?
