It involves the recruitment, transportation and harboring of persons under the age of 18 usually with the intention to exploit them economicall yor sexually.

The majority of victims are young girls who are forced into labor or sex work against their will. This paper examines child trafficking from an international perspective, exploring its causes, effects, current initiatives to combat it and possible solutions for addressing this pervasive issue. The exploitation of vulnerable children has been occurring on a large scale for centuries in many countries around the world. In recent years however, child trafficking has gained increased attention from both governments and civil society alike due to its severe impact on children’s health and well-being as well as its contribution to organized crime networks across borders.
