Classroom Norms

Even though some norms are not a requirement in a state program approval, they are components that must be shared with students for a well-functioning classroom. Policies on leaving class, threats, tardiness, use of cellphones and other electronics, how equipment is checked-out and returned, etc. are all components of a classroom management plan that must be thoroughly thought out and developed.

In a 2- to 3-paragraph post reflect on the following:

What needs to be considered when developing policies on classroom norms?
How will you ensure equity in your policies?
What, in your opinion, are the most important classroom norms? Why?
Be sure to list and explain your rules and procedures for your classroom. How do they support a positive classroom environment?
Support your statements with evidence from the required studies and your research. Cite and reference your sources in APA style.
