In this assignment, you will analyze a social media profile to better understand how it reflects major principles of communication. This assignment will help you connect the principles you are learning to the real world. Objectives: Analyze the forms, major principles, and myths of human communication. Explore the role of culture in human communication and explain the aim of using a cultural perspective to understand communication. Define communication competence and its qualities. Instructions: Consider the forms and major principles of communication and analyze one of your social media profiles and habits (or those of a friend). Consider the role of culture as you view the profile, as well as different aspects of communication competence. Think about how what you've studied in this module affects the ways in which you regard the social media profile. Write a to five page essay about your social media profile(s) in which you analyze its content based on the essentials of human communication. As you write, think about the purposes the profile serves and the ways in which you've adjusted your profile over time in response to the profiles of others. Answer at least two of these questions: What signals does the profile contain? What meaning is being created? Does the profile express power? Does the profile you are analyzing contain ambiguous messages?
