Prepare a list of five readings that relate to your chosen topic for the final essay. Following the Chicago Manual of Style’s guidelines(https://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide/citation-guide-1.html), list each source in footnote form AND bibliography form, and provide brief information about each reading’s relevance to your essay.

Comparative essay: a subset of expository style. Compare and contrast two or more equivalent examples.
Comparative Essay in Five Sections
Section 1: Identify the performances to be compared, outline your basis for comparison. i.e. do differences outweigh similarities or vice versa?
Sections 2-4: EITHER alternating method OR block method
Section 5: What do these different performances teach us about the work? What can they teach us about audiences?
