Description
Compare Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes to one or more other representations of
Holmes (e.g. Granada TV’s, BBC’s, Guy Ritchie’s, Basil Rathbone, Elementary, etc.) for
their themes, characterization, and/or historical periods/settings.
Each essay must argue a specific thesis to be determined by the
student. This essay does NOT require secondary research but must use quotations from the
work(s) being analyzed.
