There 3 separate parts to this assignment (500-750 words each)

1. Art History
   Compare and contrast two different art periods.
2. Non-European Art
   Produce a critical essay which explores non-Western art. Choose at least two pieces of artwork and consider
   the following questions:
   1) How does this work of art fit into a larger national context?
   2) What are the underlying cultural and historical contexts for the work?
   3) What techniques and materials did the artist use to create this work?
   4) Is there a discernible meaning?
3. Interpreting Art
   Adopt the feminist criticism approach to art. Research and explain this mode of criticism in an essay and then
   apply the approach to two pieces of art.
