Cultures and trade systems

We have explored various encounters among peoples of different cultures and trade systems created by those encounters. Discuss those moments of
encounter/contact in two of the following three world trade systems: the Islamic World (includes African Gold Kingdoms) and either the Pax Mongolica
or the Columbian Exchange. Compare and contrast what cultural values or practices were shared, adopted and/or adapted in two of the three world
systems (Islamic World and either the Pax Mongolica, or Columbian Exchange). How did religions encourage trade and cultural exchange? For
example, how did the conversion to Islam by various African kings encourage trade and exchange? In this case cultural exchange could include any
of the following: political ideas; governmental practices; religious practices/beliefs; trade connections; trade goods; technologies (including writing);
and social values or distinctions. Lastly, which world trade system do you think made the most significant impact on its time and why? Make an
argument and back it up with specific reasons and evidence to justify your answer.
You must discuss the Islamic World and then you can choose between the Pax Mongolica or the Columbian Exchange as your second area
