Part 1 - Research report
Choose one (1) additional need to research. Your research topic is to focus on children birth to 5 years. All sources of information need to be referenced throughout your assessment task using in text referencing. A reference list is also to be included.
It could be:
Language / communication difficulty
Physical, sensory or developmental disability
Health problem / trauma / cultural and/or dislocation difficulties
Behavioural or psychological disorder
Research the additional need as follows providing a written report of at least 2 – 3 pages:
Name and describe the particular need, identify possible causes, symptoms and characteristics.
Describe implications for development in all areas. Include comments about identification and assessment procedures and professionals/specialists that would be involved.
Describe how you would provide opportunities for children to learn about diversity; their cultures, identities, abilities and strengths, contributes to the richness of society and how to acknowledge, value and explore this richness.
