  On page 152 in Eating The Landscape, I wrote, "Foods grown in the backyards of people starving in the Third World are immediately shipped to the Whole Foods grocery stores in neighborhoods of Americans and Europeans that can afford the increasingly expensive shipping costs....in the ecological sense, this system in not logical."
