On page 152 in Eating The Landscape, I wrote, “Foods grown in the backyards of people starving in the Third World are immediately shipped to the Whole
Foods grocery stores in neighborhoods of Americans and Europeans that can afford the increasingly expensive shipping costs….in the ecological sense, this
system in not logical.” Using information from the required readings for this week and from other materials provided to you this semester, expand on and
explain the prompt that I wrote on page 152.
