    The key elements of a communication plan are goal setting, stakeholder identification, communication methods, message development and timing. Goal setting helps to determine the objectives of the project and how it should be communicated. Stakeholder identification is used to identify who will be affected by the project and who needs to be informed about any changes or updates.

Communication methods include how information will be shared such as in person meetings, emails or phone calls. Message development outlines what messages need to be communicated and when they should be sent out. Timing refers to scheduling when all these activities should take place throughout the duration of the project. A communication plan benefits project management by providing an organized approach for stakeholders to receive regular updates on progress and knowledges their contribution towards reaching goals. It also provides an efficient way for teams to stay connected with each other if team members are geographically dispersed over long distances enabling them to easily share ideas/information quickly from anywhere in the world without having face-to-face communications. For example, I recently worked on a project which required developing software for a mobile application that would track employee attendance at various company locations around town within a certain time frame specified by management. We set up weekly virtual meetings with our stakeholders so they could stay updated on our progress throughout this process while also providing us feedback regarding any changes they felt were necessary during development stages of this software application platform before launching it publicly. We also created a timeline outlining specific tasks that needed completing along with deadlines which we kept updating regularly as we made progress in order to ensure successful completion of this project according to specifications provided by stakeholders involved in it
