Emotional Intelligence [EI]

  What is Emotional Intelligence [EI]? Describe some examples of ways nurse LEADERS utilize emotional intelligence in their care of themselves and/or of patients and families. Why is EI significant to nurse leadership? Provide a detailed outline of how EI can be used by nurse managers to develop a mentoring and coaching program for nurses within their unit (make sure to provide specific examples using course readings and textbooks).
