Experiment; “Water on the ground is more likely to signal that rain has happened”

Create an experiment, not explain an experiment that was already conducted.
Your hypothesis is framed like an explanation but it should instead be framed like a statement.
For instance, instead of saying “Water on the ground is more likely to signal that rain has happened” you would instead say “Water on the ground will signal to [insert people group] that rain has happened”
Or something similar to this!

Your implication should explain how your hypothesis can imply a change in the world. How would studying this new research statement help you to understand your y-variable better?
Right now your implication contradicts your hypothesis.
