While Fletcher was not only trying to address Impaired Infants (as his criteria might apply to the famous Terri
Schiavo case), his 'crtieria' does have relevance for the difficult question of how to treat these fragile beings,
especially those in pain and some already 'born to die'.
Does Fletcher's criteria offer a way 'around' the problem, or only fan the flames? ( 200 words)
