In the past few decades China’s economy has went through a huge boost. Meanwhile the growing inequality issue cannot be neglected.
Transfer payment is one of the most frequent ways for government to reduce the inequality in income among private households. The question is how effective is government payment in reducing inequality? This research aims to detect the mechanism of government transfer in a more detailed and specific way. Moreover it tries to evaluate China’s transfer payment policy using data from 2007 to 2017. Hopefully, this research may be a complement for government transfer research.
