This is a classic Shakespearean tragedy, containing: - A fall of a great person - A Catharsis (release of emotions) of pity and terror from the audience - A casual relationship between the character and fate - A tragic flaw (hamartia) or a mistake in judgement - Brave death of the protagonist - Following the enlightenment of the protagonist (called the anagnorisis; the tragic hero becomes aware of his error) With evidence from the text, show how Hamlet illustrates these six earmarks of a tragedy.
