Health care process

  Describe one barrier observed relative to the active involvement of your patient in their own health care process during your clinical rotation. Please try and work with this story: I had a patient who lost her husband two days before she went into labor. She was disconnected from everything. She was in grief. My nurse could not make progress in engaging her. Family members were around to support her but her mind was not involved in anything we were doing. Her family loss was a major barrier to participating in her own care. She could not raise any healthcare issues or concerns.
