Hong Kong Protests & Cross-Cultural Ethics

Read the two posted articles on Hong Kong protests and on Activision Blizzard. Look at the Decision Tree Framework for managing cross-cultural ethical conflicts. Then write three paragraphs to respond to the following:
How did US companies in Hong Kong respond to conflicting pressures from the Chinese government and local stakeholders regarding the Hong Kong protests? What challenges did Activision Blizzard face related to the Hong Kong protests? Do you think these companies acted appropriately? What should they have done?
Use the decision tree framework to evaluate these issues. Is this a matter of high moral significance? Does the company have a high level of influence to achieve its preferred outcome? Did this issue require an immediate response or could the company deal with the conflict gradually over time? Given the branches of this decision tree you chose, which strategy (e.g., negotiation, forcing, collaboration, etc.) do you think is the best option for U.S. companies dealing with the rights of protesters and the political and economic pressures from China?
