How has where you from shaped who you are?

In Ecology of a Cracker Childhood, Ray writes about her childhood in Georgia. How has where you are from (the place and the environment) shaped who you are? What connection/remembrance do you have of the place of your childhood? How do you think the place in which you grew up (physical space, geography, economy) shapes/impacts your attitude toward the environment?
You don’t need to add any sources you could make references. I am from Harlem, New York as a background to help with where I am from. It could be single-spaced. Also, it has to be at least a page and half long
