country. Have fun with this exercise, and
make your country stand out from the rest. It
should not be based on a real country.
Using the terms you’ve learned in module 2 (Culture), module 3 (Socialization), and module 4 (Families),
create a unique country. Type your response below. You need to answer the follow 7 questions:
- What is the name of your country? What does the name mean/stand for?
- What are the norms of your country?
- What kind of sanctions result when the country’s inhabitants break the norms?
- What language is spoken in your country? Are there any special characteristics in the language?
- What are the marriage patterns and family patterns in your country? How do people find partners?
- How are resources (money, food, etc) distributed in your country?
- Is your country generally endogamous or exogamous? What would a newcomer be surprised by in your
country? - What image symbolizes your country? For example, what would be on your country’s flag? (please insert an
image/picture)
