1.) Moral and Cognitive Process(400 words)
If given the opportunity to cheat on a final exam, let’s say preview the final before it was posted, would you
take a look? Yes? No? It depends? Kohlberg lays out the conditions for 6 stages of moral reasoning. In
doing so he doesn’t advocate a particular position, but rather is interested in what cognition goes into a
moral decision.
Decide your most likely course of action regarding the final exam dilemma and detail what you are
considering when making the decision………Are you afraid of getting caught, concerned with what others
would think?
Finally, label yourself with one of Kohlberg’s stages.
2.) Looking for Love (400 words)
Maybe we are attracted to those who are like us (consensual validation) or maybe opposites attract. Maybe
we settle for those that are as attractive as we are (matching hypothesis) or maybe love is blind. Maybe
when we seem to have a chemistry between us we really do, and it really is chemistry, the product of
evolution. Attraction is just a trick to get us to perpetuate the species. Why are we attracted to others? Use
whatever evidence you can from the textbook or your own experience.
