Complete a 4-5 page paper studying two films that address a theme or issue of global concern. The films chosen must come from two separate countries reflecting different cultural perspectives. You are welcome to select the films from any platform. The analysis and research should consider the way film-making techniques, use of film aesthetics (cinematography, sounds, narrative structures, production design, editing, etc.), film theory, and communication styles are used to convey the theme or issue in the context of global issues. In addition to 4-5 pages of content, paper should also have a title page and references. It is a formal paper and should be written in third person; a minimum of 4 external sources should be used to develop a problem (not including the films); integration of external sources should be used to develop a problem (not including the films); integration of external sources will be a significant part of your grade.
