Key determinants in Women’s health based on reproductive health and non-communicable diseases

Key determinants in Wome’s health based on reproductive health and non-communicable diseases in a rural setting in Central Luzon, Philippines
II– Introduction
• What is your proposed research topic?
• What is your research problem? (research problem statement)

  1. To know the prevalence of NCD in Central Luzon, Philippines based on reproductive age group (20-40 y/0)
  2. To know the reproductive morbidity and mortality in Central Luzon fro 2005-2015
  3. To determine if there is an association between reproductive morbidity and later onset of
    • What is/are the research question(s)? State the hypothesis (if any?)
    • What is your research purpose? (Objectives of your proposed research)
    • What is the conceptual framework for the study? (Please provide diagram with the necessary
    elements)
    • What is the significance of your research and its potential findings to international health?
    III – Literature Review
    • What major studies on the research topic have been previously been done? What is the current
knowledge saying about the research problem?
    • How will your proposed study fill the current knowledge gap?
    • Why is it necessary for the proposed research to be conducted?
    • What are the approaches you will use in your study and why were these chosen?
    • Situate the scope of the proposed study, its contribution and limitations in relation to other studies
    that have been done previously.
    IV – Methodology
    • Proposed study design
    • Participants or respondents
o Describe the context in which the participants in the study will be drawn (e.g. hospital,
school, community, etc.); provide sufficient details
o Describe the characteristics of the participants to be included in the study (e.g. age, sex,
population of interest, demographics) o Selection/Inclusion criteria – explain why this group was chosen
    o Exclusion criteria, non-response
o Sampling method and sampling frame
    • Procedures and Measures
    o Tools, instruments, pre-tests, validation
o How will data be collected? (Interviews, surveys, collection of sample specimens, content
analysis, etc.) o How will the results be analyzed and presented?
    o Validation procedures
    o Variables, measurements
    • Analysis
o How will the results of the data be summarized and analyzed? (e.g. descriptive statistics, tests
    of comparison, etc.) • Ethics
o Should describe how the following key elements will be addressed in the proposed research:
    informed consent; confidentiality/data privacy; openness and integrity; autonomy;
    beneficence and non-maleficence.
    V – Conclusion
This section should be brief, 2-3 paragraphs long, to reiterate the significance and relevance of the
research problem, the potential contribution of your research to international health, and how the
findings can be used in practice or to advance existing knowledge. (Tip: Remember “Kinney’s Three
Paragraphs” – “What is the question?”, “Why is it important?”, and “How are you going to address
    it?”) VI. Bibliography
List of references and other resources, using APA style.
List of references should be written using a reference manager such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote
