Language Problems

Language delay is the most common form of developmental delay,
and can be the cause or effect of other cognitive and developmental problems.
Language delays can also underlie social difficulties and learning disabilities. What new techniques are being used today to identify and treat language delays? Can we better design school systems to take language delays into account, and ensure that they do not result in delayed learning in other areas? What can be done about the social problems that children with language delays might face?
