This literature review (thesis paper) will consist of 6 chapters, it will be about the development of a new method that can be used in the lab for neurodevelopmental disorders. It’s called Brain Organoids or (mini brain) where we going to introduce a mutation to it in the lab that could then be used for experiments.
- Introduction: Will give an insight about neurodevelopmental disorder and research also the prevalence of each disorder, Last two sentences will involve brain organoid and on how it can become a new model system to develop mutation for neurodevelopmental disorder. we are looking for new system of neurodevelopment for finding drug targets (that’s brain organoid mini brain)
- Identify protocols in brain Organoids 4-5 pages (add flow charts and tables)
- Phenotypic characterization (summarize gene phenotypic, cellular morphology, dendritic, association with non-neuronal cell types, migration of cells within the 3D culture) 3-4 pages
- the OMICs part of brain organoids (proteomics, transcriptomic, and so on)
- Discussion (pros, cons) you can compare it between existing models such as animal models and 2D cell lines 3-4 pages
