In this course we’ve learned about maintaining good health, what causes infectious diseases and how they
spread, how the environment can affect our health, and about genetic diseases and gene therapy. Now that we
are nearing the end of the semester, I want to know what you feel was the most valuable knowledge you’ve
gained as a result of participating in this course. There are two parts to this final paper:Part 1: Summarize the
research surrounding the one or two most important, interesting, and/or valuable topic(s) you learned about
this semester. Please feel free to choose any topic, including ones introduced by your classmates during
discussion presentations. In your paper, consider mentioning what is already known about this topic, what the
research says, and (depending upon your topic) what can be done about this issue. Find at least
SIXreferences from peer-reviewed sources. Using additional references from websites or other periodicals is
acceptable.
