Develop a specific proposal for your project, identifying both the problem and the marketing objectives that you wish to accomplish with your marketing plan. Your proposal may be based on one of the ideas below, or on a sports-related project of your choosing. Your project proposal is due on Feb. 2nd, although I will gladly look at proposals earlier if you have concerns with the project’s timeline. The proposal must include three marketing objectives for your project, written using the SMART criteria. Some project ideas include:
• Write a plan for the market introduction of customizable athletic apparel/equipment
• Create a plan for increasing participation in youth or community based sports activities
• Develop a plan to increase ticket sales for a particular sports franchise
• Write a plan to increase memberships in sports organizations
• Create a plan to sell licensed sports merchandise in a new market
• Write a plan for the introduction of an expansion franchise in a new home city
• Develop a plan for increasing charitable contributions to non-profit sports organizations
• Create a plan for launching a new sports cable television network
• Develop a plan for using an athlete endorsement
