Mindfulness

  Mindfulness is increasingly being incorporated in a range of therapy approaches and there is a plethora of empirical evidence suggesting it lowers stress levels. UCLA has a mindfulness center with free downloads of guided meditations. It can be accessed at http://marc.ucla.edu/body.cfm?id=22. There are also meditation apps that are popular, like Headspace and Calm, where free trials are available at https://www.headspace.com and https://www.calm.com. Try out a couple of the meditations and write about your experience. (you don't have to do that just write something )What do you think of this as an adjunct for therapy? What do you think of this as a way to manage stress? Are there particular issues or problems that you think it could be especially helpful with? Use 200-250 words to discuss some of these questions.
