Monologue - What My Daughter Wore

For this assignment, you will write a monologue based on an illustration in the Instagram account,
What_My_Daughter_Wore.
A monologue is a speech in a play where one character speaks for a long time. You experienced a lot of
monologues last week when you watched Jack &, for example. You also experienced monologues in some of
the solo performances from last week's documentary.
Choose an illustration from the Instagram account that interests you (for any reason). It could also be one
person pictured in a group.

1. Make the following list, answering questions about the illustration you've chosen.
   What is this person's:
   Name
   Age
   Where have they just come from?
   Where are they going next?
   What do they fear?
   What do they want out of life?
   What do they want today?
   What do they want right now?
   Who are they talking to?
   You are creating a character, making it up.
2. Drawing from the answers to your questions, write a monologue of about 250 words in the voice of the
   character you have created (Write in first person.)
