Observation LLD ( Language and Literacy.)

 

This activity is designed to support the following Learning Objectives:
Demonstrate the use of observation tools to identify quality in play-based environment, curriculum, and care
routines (including but not limited to the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale – Revised Edition, and the
Infant and Toddler Environment Rating Scale-Revised Edition)
Document the ability to use basic quantitative and qualitative observation and recording techniques to
complete authentic assessments.
Investigate the use of observation tools to identify domain focused patterns, trends and anomalies in
individuals and groups of children (including but not limited to the Desired Results Developmental ProfileRevised Edition and CA Foundations)
Evaluate the purpose, value and use of formal and informal observation and assessment strategies as well as
define the major characteristics, strengths, and limitations of selected assessment tools.
