Organizational ecosystems

We’ve far moved from organizational ecosystems that where typically managed through autocratic and
authoritative leadership styles. The current and typical organizational environment is one where a “leader” must
prioritize relationship building based on mutual respect, cultural tolerance, and strategic empowerment. Your
role as a manager is not to “boss” people around or exercise power. Instead, the manager has responsibilities
to develop one-on-one relationships with each of his employees, and to create an environment where
employees within the work unit develop rapport as well. This relationship emphasis, allows the supervisor to
develop a connection with employees that helps in coaching, offering constructive feedback and challenging
workers to reach new heights (source: Kokemuller, 2016).
Given this approach to management, how does each of the below tools empower the manager to effectively
build, manage, and foster relationships?
