Order Description Choose ONE of the following groups that have been considered in part 2 of the lecture programme Older prisoners Younger prisoners Families of prisoners (you may discuss the whole family unit or focus on either partners or children) Prisoners with mental health problems Female prisoners Minority group prisoners (BAME or religious group or sexual identity) Long term prisoners and their release from prison With reference to appropriate theory on the unintended impacts of imprisonment, and legislation and/or guidelines on best practice in supporting the dignity and wellbeing of prisoners, critically consider if ‘prison works’.
